Look at me GO!!

Ever since I got my new Cricut machine and Xyron sticker maker thingy (lol) for Christmas, I've been in a crazy scrapbooking mood, even though I haven't used both of them a whole lot.. just looking at it makes me excited....lol. So here are a few pictures of what I have accomplished. 3 out of the 5 pages I did just tonight. 2 of the pages are completely scraplifted from Pam. I enjoy her work so much, and I have some great pictures to print that would look wonderful on these two pages.

This is from Easter 2006. It was MacKenzie's first egg hunt at Grandma's house. This page is done except the journaling.


This page needs just a touch more. I need to put two poinsetta flowers on. One in the top right corner beside the ribbon, and one on the left side of the circle/tree. and I have to get the pictures printed to put on. I just did a quick print on paper to see if I liked those pics..and I did. I might have to add a sentence of journaling somewhere too.


This page I was excited about. I love zoo pages. I think I may make another page to go with this one.


The next two pages are scraplifted from Pam >> I have pictures from the pumpkin maze to put on here...and pictures from one of our thanksgivings at the berry barn. I have so many great pictures I just can't decide yet which ones I want to put on there.

Christmas #2

WARNING >>> LOTS OF PICTURES

So here are some pictures from Christmas #2
After we celebrated Christmas at our house with my dad and sister, we headed over to Rick's mom's the night of the 24th for a sleep over with Kim, Chris, Aidan, Michael, and Marg. We opened a few gifts on christmas eve, put the kids down to bed, and played cards then watched a movie. It was so nice spending the night, and not having to rush in the morning to get ready. The morning was wonderful..the kids woke up at a decent time. MacKenzie was very excited that Santa ate all the cookies and took apples for the reindeer, and drank all his milk. The kids opened stockings, and we opened a few gifts. We had a wonderful breakfast, and opened the rest of the gifts. The rest of the day was pretty relaxed as there were a few people not feeling well, and we were all tired from staying up late that night too. We had a wonderful supper, the kids behaved very well for the most part of christmas, which was very nice. Then we headed home. That is the short version of all the christmas activity for this day. One of the neatest gifts the girls got. 6 pairs of dressup shoes...each with princesses on each shoe..and colors of the shoes to match the princesses...they haven't put these shoes away yet!! Thanks Aunty Kim..and Uncle Chris...

The girls also got a "wedding" dressup package. Mackenzie loves the dress, and prefers to wear it every day rather than any other outfit..lol She's even let Kaylee wear it a few times (not many though) I'm going to save this pic for her wedding day!!

Christmas #3

Christmas #3 and #1 were both held at our house, so we got to play host...which was very fun. I haven't posted about Christmas #2 yet, cause there is lots to tell, and lots of pictures, as we were there for the longest out of all the Christmas celebrations. So...on the 26th, it was my mom's turn to celebrate with us.. I made a delicious turkey supper, of course with all the fixings... We had a great time opening gifts..the girls really liked their clothes they got, as they were covered in "Princesses" Kaylee's favorite gift was her stroller, and Mack's favorite gift was her "Prince" barbie. She said "I got my own prince dolly so I don't have to use Mommy's anymore" (I took out all my old barbies for her, including my ken doll, before christmas)

The girls seen Mr Bucket on tv on a commercial...they thought it was a show, so they kept asking for it..they were very happily suprised to get the game...its not as easy as I thought it would be, but it sure is fun to play

Christmas #1

This year we had 3 Christmas celebrations. The first one was with Dad and Heather on the evening of the 24th. I cooked a ham and all the fixings for supper, we opened gifts, and took some pictures. We had a nice, quiet evening with Dad. Rick wasn't feeling well, so he had a little sleep after Dad left, and before we went to Rick's Moms to spend the night. Enjoy the pics!!

Christmas Cookie Day

My mom and sister came over today. We baked Christmas cookies with the girls. I always remember doing this every year with my mom and sister, and Mom would make a day out of it doing baking. We didn't do a whole day, just the better part of the afternoon. The girls don't have that much of an attention span. Needless to say, the girls had a wonderful time mixing, decorating, and of course tasting the dough. Here are a few pics of the afternoon. Enjoy!

Pre-Christmas Family Day

We have had a very busy weekend at our house. Friday night, my dad came for a visit, and for supper. We went and picked up our new truck..so I am pretty excited about that. Then we rented a couple movies for the girls for a treat. They were so excited to watch Sleeping Beauty, and the Little Mermaid 2...both movies I hadn't seen yet.

We also decided to have a Pre-Christmas family day on Saturday. Rick bought the girls gingerbread houses, so he and the girls made and decorated them, while I set up the tree, and got decorations ready for the girls. My sister stopped by for a visit. We went for supper with Rick's mom. Then we came home, finished decorating the tree, and sat down and watched a movie. I was hoping to make it to see Santa that day too, but, the girls and Daddy were having too much fun decorating houses and cookies.


On Sunday, a friend was in from out of town. We went out to Langham to visit with her, and watch her daughter play in a hockey tournament. Then I went to Just Scrap It to pick up some supplies. After the girls had a nap, we did some crafts and made some Christmas cards. The girls went to bed pretty early Sunday night, as did we.

Throughout the festivities, the girls said some pretty funny things.
MacKenzie thought that her stocking was like a halloween bag...Santa would come and fill it up with candy

Kaylee was trying to blow out the tree topper. (It has 3 fake candles at the top that light up, she thought the tree was on fire)

MacKenzie asked how Santa was going to get in the house cause we don't have a chimney. And she wanted to know how he was going to get off the roof after he parked his sleigh up there. I had to tell her we would leave the patio door open, and Santa would park on the lawn so she wouldn't worry about him.

I am hoping to make this weekend, or at least the one day, into a tradition for our family. Since we share our Christmas with all of our family...brothers, sisters and parents on both sides, we figured we get pretty hectic around Christmas day. So we thought that if we used the first weekend in December to set up our tree, and decorate cookies/houses, do some baking, and go and see Santa, and then have an evening of movies or games, that we could have a pre-christmas day family celebration with just the four of us.

Anyways I posted some pictures of our weekend, and our new truck...Enjoy!!

Yes!! this is MacKenzie's gingergread WOMAN...LOL....she thought it needed to have boobs...and she made them all on her own. At least Mack was generous..but they could have been a little closer together...hehe ... and they match the color of her eyes


I was so jealous...I'm used to crafting with the girls. But Rick was looking SO forward to making the gingerbread house with them, so I just sat back and took the pictures.
