Where to start?

Well, there is so much to post about, I don't even know where to start. I haven't posted anything in so long, this might make for a long post. I guess I'll start from the most recent and work my way backwards.

Rick and I went out last night to Aaron's house to watch the UFC Fight. We had a blast even though there wasn't that much action in the fights. Rick's brother Michael babysat for us. He had a pretty easy night considering when we left, the girls were just having their bedtime snack. He is a great babysitter, the girls just love him..and he like playing with them too. I think Mr. Potato Head is his favorite, lol.

This past week I got a letter from the Dr. in Edmonton. We will be making a trip up there the second week of April. My mom is going to come with us to help out with Kaylee. The appointment is going to take about 2 hours. We will be staying with my mom's brother. And it just so happens that he lives only a couple of blocks from West Edmonton Mall. So we are going to shop while we are there. Hopefully we can catch a seal show for the girls. I'm sure they'd just love to watch it. And we will also get to meet my two new cousins, which I have only seen pictures of. It is unfortunate that one of them is still in the hospital, but luckily its the same hospital that we are taking MacKenzie too, so we won't have to track all around the city.

We went swimming the other night with Kim & Aidan and Ashley. We had a lot of fun. The kids went down the slide, and jumped off the edge of the pool. They even danced to the Water Aerobics class that was going on. Kaylee and Aidan in particular. Almost every time the instructors arms started moving the kids would wave their arms around too. At one point when Rick was swimming with Aidan, he kept wanting to dunk his face in the water. So Rick kept putting him under. He did so well holding his breath. He's a natural in the water I think. And then we enjoyed some time in the hot tub.

MacKenzie turned 3 this past month. January 24th was her birthday. We had a party for her on the 21st. Most of the family, and a few friends attended. It was a great afternoon. MacKenzie had a dinosaur theme. Her and grandma (my mom) went shopping the Friday before to get decorations. She was quite excited to help decorate for her own party. She said all she wanted for her birthday was a cake and candles. Most kids I know ramble off a list of toys that they want. Kaylee was unfortunately sick that day. The singing of Happy Birthday was too much for Kaylee. She screamed through the whole thing. When it came time to blowing out the candles, there was one candle that just wouldn't blow out, no matter how many times she tried to blow it out. It was quite funny.

So, with a birthday comes a checkup. Well, MacKenzie is perfectly healthy and normal for her age, except the bowel issues. But other than that there is no concerns with anything. We are going to see a speech therapist though, just to help her talk a little more clearly, and pronounce things properly. She still has some troubles with a few letters. She also went to the Eye Doctor. Everything was normal there. She was pretty excited that she got to look at pictures at a Doctor's Office, oh, and she got to look through some neat glasses. (You know those things that you look through and the dr. can change how it looks, I'm not sure what they are called..but its not actual glasses).

I think thats all I'm going to post for now. I'll post pictures maybe later tonight, and add anything I forgot to write about. Cause I am sure I missed something.

Thanks for the post. I was wondering the other day how wedding planning is coming?

The answer to the wedding question..well, Rick and I are very happily unmarried. To us its only a piece of paper and a name change. Rick and I love each other just the same, and live our lives like a married couple. I am sure the wedding will come, but for now we are concentrating on buying a house, and our finances say we can't have both. Plus, neither one of us care to plan something and we can't decide on what we want to do..lol. But it will come. I can't go through life without having a wedding, its just not the most important thing on my list of things to do right now, and Rick and I are both happy with that.

You certainly have had a busy time for someone who was not blogging. I have been patiently waiting for pictures from the b-day party (ahem)! I second the wow to Mackenzie being 3. I don't think we are old enough to have children that old.

Good to hear that things are going well and that you are finally making some progress with the doctors. I hope things go well and Mackenzie can get feeling better. I feel so bad for her, she should be able to have a worry free third year of life!
