So its been a busy past couple of weeks. I've wanted to get on here and update everyone, but its so hard to find the time now that we spend almost every waking moment outside. The girls just can't get enough of the nice weather. I don't mind being outside so much..it helps the girls sleep WAY better at night. This will be just a quick update as I am getting tired.
Last week we went to Edmonton to see a Doctor up there for MacKenzie. It bothers me so much how everyone (people in general) put that hospital up on a pedestal. The only thing different is that they are more equipped to facilitate children there...I think. I mean, the doctor that we seen there was horrible. He didn't even look at MacKenzie's file that I brought down..and I had copies of the stuff that was faxed for him to look at, so I knew what information he had..which was not much. Anyways, he treated us like he had heard our story 1000 times. He wrote us ANOTHER perscription, and told us that her problem may get worse, but we just have to deal with it. Yah, thanks alot Doctor. SO anyways, from there we seen a dietician, who told us everything I have already tried. So that was of no help either. I feel that it was a complete waste of a trip..besides all the wonderful shopping and visiting with family. So my next step I think is going to be trying a Naturalpath Doctor.
On the not so positive side, My second cousin (my cousin's baby) died last week. He was only 6 months old. He died of a bacterial infection. He had problems since birth and had been in the hospital all his life. It is ironic that he died in the Stollery Children's Hospital. Thats why it bothers me that people put that hospital up on a pedestal. Sure there are a lot of benefits there that we don't have here, but stuff like an infection and death can happen anywhere, even in the best of places.
When people say God has a plan for us, it becomes so obvious in this particular situation for me. Not only did we go to Edmonton a couple of weeks ago, we had the opportunity to meet Julian. All but one of my mom's brothers were there, and got to meet Julian as well. And it was only because Rick, Mom, the girls and I were there, that everyone from other cities made a special trip up to Edmonton to see us. We kind of all met in the middle I guess. And not more than a week later, God took Juilan's life.
My heart goes out to my cousin Adrian, and his family, for the loss of their little boy.

That is such a sad story. But it is really nice that everyone got to meet the little guy!
sorry to hear about your stuggles right now. My Father-in-law has cancer in his duodenim/small intestines. It's rare they say. 35 years ago he was healed of colon cancer. Will be thinking of you.
I am so sorry to hear of your loss of little Julian. Losing a little one is never easy. I'm glad you got to meet him though!
