HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!
Rick suprised me and came home early from work today!! We had supper together, cleaned up, got the girls in their jammies, and played a few board games. The girls got a new game...The Little Mermaid, which was very simple for them to play...a little boring for us, as there wasn't any strategy or action, but it was great being able to play together as a family. We tried out snakes and ladders too, but the girls didn't qiute understand that one without help.
We've all been sick at our house, so we decided to just stay home as a family tonight. Kaylee ended up getting sick. Her ears were bugging her, and she told me "little butterflies in her tummy were bugging her" So she was up at midnight with us watching the countdown. Mack was in bed, so she missed it. Sitting around the kitchen table playing board games together is a wonderful way to spend family time - we still do that with our adult children and I love it.
