Baking Bread

Yesterday Rick's grandma and aunt showed me how to make home-made bread. I've never made it before, so they gave me the recipie and pretty much watched me make it, and checking on me as the process went on. I didn't realize it takes a whole day to make a loaf of bread (well actually 5 loaves because thats how big the recipie was). It turned out better than perfect. We had bread with homemade chicken soup for supper. WOW..and MacKenzie had 3 bowls of soup and a piece of my bread.

For all you who know how I cook..this was a major accomplishment for me. I mean..in my opinion..I think I can cook..Rick tends to disagree sometimes. But I know I bake really good Chocolate Chip Cookies. Rick said I made bread better than his grandma has lately (she's getting older so she can't knead it as well, so thats why).

It felt really kind of cool to say I made bread better than grandma, because usually you hear stuff like "no one makes this as good as grandma does (or did)". And I hate the heel of the loaf..but I cut the first piece off, and ate it..and it was excellent.

Anyways, thats all I have for now.

Heather, just cause you ate my food doesn't mean I was a good cook..lol. Rick eats my cooking all the time, and he doesn't always think it tastes good.
