Silly Mommy..not Silly Daddy anymore

The other day, I had posted as my msn name "Silly Daddy, trying to get MacKenzie to tell him what his Christmas present is". Well Silly Daddy actually got MacKenzie to tell him.

On the phone at lunch, he kept asking her what I got him, and she kept saying..A present, Mommy made it. And thats all she would say. I figured, just like everything else, she would just forget about it. But No...soon as Rick got home from work, she showed him where his Christmas present was under the tree..I guess I didn't hide it under there that well..she found it. Anyways, she gave him his present, and he asked her:

Rick: Whats in here MacKenzie?
Mack: Owwies
Rick: What kind of Owwies?
Mack: Orange fishys
Rick: What kind of Orange fishys?
Mack: Fishing hooks

I was standing in the kitchen while this was all going on, and I could not help but laugh so hard. I think I gave it away laughing just as much as MacKenzie did telling him. I am not sure who I should be mad at more..MacKenzie for telling Rick, Rick for spoiling it for himself, or me for letting MacKenzie help me wrap them. Obviously me..lol. I really thought she would have forgot about it. Oh well. At least she doesn't know what his other present is.

Now that I know she helped a certain Grandma wrap presents, I am going to try to see if I can get MacKenzie to tell me what they are..but it was so long ago, she probably forgot those ones. lol :) I guess MacKenzie is going to be like me..can't keep secrets at Christmas or Birthdays.

Anyways, I don't know if I will get a chance to post before Christmas comes, so Merry Christmas to everyone, and I hope you all have a safe and happy holiday.

Usually I am one who wants to find out but somehow with all that has been going on with my father-in-law and baby I am not so excited to figure out gifts earlier. It really doesn't feel like Christmas even though.

That is hilarious! The funny thing is she will probably have forgotten about it by Christmas day and be excited for her Daddy all over again!
