Toddler Craft Time

Today I took my girls out for lunch to McDonalds at Walmart. We had to go there to get a few things, so I thought I would treat them for lunch. Then from there, we went to Michaels (the craft store) for the Parent and Tot craft time. The girls each got to make 2 bear puppets. They had lots of fun cutting and glueing, and playing with their puppets afterwards. Next week they are making Zebra's and MacKenzie is so excited to go.

It only cost $3.00 per child, all materials included. I am sure I could have bought all the materials for cheaper, but I wanted to get the girls out of the house, and doing something different, give them something to look forward to go to. So I think that since the girls had so much fun today..even Kaylee, and she is almost 2, I am planning on making this a regular thing for them. The patterns didn't come with a mouth, and MacKenzie thought her bears needed a Happy Smile. So I cut her out a mouth. She was so excited, and we had to give Kaylee's bears a happy smile too. I think she was a little disappointed that the display model didn't have a mouth.

The pictures are of the same thing, but slightly different. The girls placed their pieces a little differently...lol..see if you can spot the differences.

Janelle, this would be great for Kamryn. Even Rod can take her, as there is someone to help out/instruct, if he isn't a creative person. :)

Sounds like fun. I am not creative so it would be nice to go to a place where there is help and ideas.
